The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
